Faculty affiliation with the East Asia Program consists of a group of Core Faculty who work in the Program, and a network of Associated Faculty who engage with EAP activities from time to time.
Core faculty do research and teach primarily in East Asian studies, and as EAP Core Faculty members serve on EAP committees, organize EAP activities, are PIs on sponsored projects through the EAP, and otherwise carry out some of their work from within the East Asia Program. Appointment is made by the EAP faculty and in consultation with the invited faculty member's home department. See the "Core Faculty" directory for a complete list of current core faculty members.
Associated faculty are faculty both at Cornell and at other universities who occasionally collaborate with the East Asia Program and make up a large network of scholars with professional interests in East Asia.
